CSI Statement on Steve Cotterill

Convers Sports Initiatives (CSI) can confirm that Steve Cotterill will be leaving Portsmouth Football Club (PFC) and joining Nottingham Forest, after a compensation package was agreed between the two Clubs.

CSI would like to thank Steve for his hard work and unwavering dedication towards PFC. He took over as manager during a period of extreme uncertainty and, with the limited resources that were available to him last season, he performed admirably.

After purchasing the club this summer, we invested in the team to enable us to challenge in what is a highly competitive league. Although the results and performances haven’t been as we had hoped, we were willing to allow Steve more time to turn the situation around. However, after some consideration, Steve decided that the opportunity to start afresh at Nottingham Forest was too good to turn down.

We wish him all the best in his new role and our attention now turns to finding the right replacement. We hope that the appointment of a new manager will enable the fans to unite and that together we can propel this great club back to where it belongs.
